Gone baby gone

I think I'll let this blog die. It isn't important to me anymore and I doubt it is important to anyone else! My goal was to do it for a year and I at least accomplished that. It has been helpful for getting me through shows and having a place to put pictures of my things. Now that I have a website and etsy store I feel like I have enough places to keep track of. So goodbye blog! It has been swell.

Sorry

I'm not going to be good at posting for a while. I don't want to whine on my blog so I'll leave it at that. I broke down and put things on Etsy so I'm also busy fulfilling those orders. Business has suddenly picked up, I'm super happy about all the new exposure and new fans I'm getting!

Back to my roots

So a recent injury is pretty much keeping me from sewing. My jaw, neck and shoulders are causing me pain so any sewing has to be in short bursts. Knitting, however, has not been causing me any problems. I guess I'm getting back to my crafting roots. I even ordered a whole bag or yarn for some projects! The first thing I'm working on is the scarf I started oh so long ago. Then I might get started on some Christmas presents. I'm thinking way ahead. There isn't much I can do right now other than lay on a heating pack so I have a lot of time to dream about projects!

Here is a totally unrelated pic for your enjoyment. Did you know we grow dogs in our garden?

So...

I haven't felt like posting lately so I didn't! I took a vacation from Blogger. Here is what I have been up to.
I went to Utah and had a lot of fun. We hiked almost everyday and visited 2 national parks. We also went hiking at our ranch where we saw fresh mountain lion and coyote tracks.

When we got back we checked out the new Grizzly Coast exhibit at the zoo. We were there the first day it opened so the animals were interest in all the people still and we got some great pictures.

We've been hitting the farmer's markets as often as possible lately. In Minneapolis at the market we met a one week old pig. I love this pig. I begged drvono to steal it but he wouldn't.

In St. Paul we bought these gorgeous peonies. I'm slightly obsessed with peonies. I want to get 3 more peony bushes at my house, one to match each color of peony on my back.

I also made 2 plush brains for my brother and helped my sister-in-law make 3 banners for her church but I didn't get pictures of them. I put a few things up on etsy too. If they sell I'll put up some more.

Off I go.

Well I didn't get anything done that I had hoped but oh well. Now I'm off to Utah for the week. Maybe I'll come home with renewed energy.

So the past week I've been busy, but not as busy as i should have been. I have a million and one project that I need to get done and it just isn't happening. I have another craft show coming up this weekend and I'm flying out on vacation the same day. Some lovely friends and family are manning the booth for the 2 day show. I'm so grateful! I think though that I am feeling more stress about this show than any other. I feel guilty that I'm not going to be there and my friends will be. I feel worried for them. I know they will be fine but I can't help it, it is what I do. Then I also worry about the trip because I hate flying! I would much rather stay and do the show in a lot of ways.
So when I feel stressed I do the opposite of what I should do. Instead of being productive and getting things done I shut down. I freeze up and get nothing done. Sorry for the venting but sometimes if I just put stuff out there it helps me move on. Maybe today will now be a turning point. Maybe now I'll be able to get all the stuff done I need to for the show and for the trip.
On the bright side we had ducks in our yard this week.
